Blinds & More is a true multi-generational family business. Everyone in the family is a native Knoxvillian and has a role in the business process, from introductory consultation to final project completion. Jamie meets with clients to discuss overall needs and initial design ideas. Robbie, her husband and co-owner, oversees the company’s commercial and outdoor projects, and Del, their eldest son – who joined them after 10 years of service in the Air Force – oversees installation of all projects.
Building the Business
After attending design school in Mississippi, marriage, and kids, Jamie began working for JCPenney’s Custom Decorating department in the early 2000s. The extensive training she received there has proven to be invaluable over the years. The foundational knowledge and her love of in-home design have given her a strong foundation for owning and operating Blinds & More. She realized early on that window treatments are the finishing touch that can beautifully bring every room together.
“Functional window treatments such as blinds, shutters, roller, and cellular shades do not necessarily need to be strictly utilitarian,” said Jamie. “Sometimes adding soft elements – draperies, roman shades, cornices, and valances – to a room can create an overall feeling of luxury and sophistication. This part of the design process is where my expertise truly shines and sets Blinds & More apart from the rest.”

“We collaborate with local workrooms that handle all our custom luxury treatments,” explained Jamie. “This partnership solidifies that extra personal touch, as everything is locally made and definitely contributes to the final design process.”
