The Shrimp Dock has been part of the Knoxville food scene for almost 20 years and is the area’s top seller of fresh fish and shrimp. Why? Because what we are all about is freshness. Our mission is to provide the freshest seafood and shellfish from the highest quality domestic partners. We only purchase from suppliers who practice sustainable fishing methods, and all of our products are sourced as close to home as possible. Specializing in wild caught shrimp and fish, we always know where our fish comes from, and it’s always fresh, shipped in daily.

Fresh, never frozen fish is delicious and easy to prepare! We offer expert tips on all types of preparations for the home cook – grilling, sautéing, baking, broiling, and frying – or you may want to try our takeout homemade signature soups, dips, spreads, sauces, quiche, seafood pies, crabcakes, and cole slaw, called the best in Knoxville. Also, don’t forget an Eva’s caramel cake; The Shrimp Dock is the exclusive distributor of this renowned delicacy, available in whole or half sizes.

Not only is seafood delicious – it’s vitally beneficial to your health, according to the USDA, which recommends eating a variety of seafood at least twice a week, citing that “beef, pork, and poultry contain solid fats and are mostly devoid of nutrients, but the fat content of seafood, nuts, and seeds comes in the form of oil and is full of nutrients.” Seafood is especially beneficial for breast-feeding women; evidence indicates that eating at least 8 to 12 ounces of seafood each week during pregnancy and while breast-feeding improves babies’ eye and brain development.

The Shrimp Dock also offers lunch (dine-in or take-out) Monday through Saturday from 11 am to 4 pm in addition to a Friday night fish fry at all three of our locations. Come in and enjoy a legendary shrimp, oyster, or crabcake po’ boy, all local favorites. We’re also open from noon to 3 pm on Sundays in Farragut, and beginning in February, our Alcoa store will also serve Sunday lunch. Remember, we can cater your party or event from 30 to 1,000 people; our specialty is a Cajun shrimp boil, but we are happy to customize a menu to meet your unique needs.
